New Marketing Trends – For Local Businesses
Consumers shopping habits have changed dramatically and are now using the Internet as the basis for local purchases to the point that printed advertising is losing it’s effectiveness. This includes advertising in newspapers and in the Yellow Pages. the last time I looked at the Yellow Pages, I couldn’t read the print and I am near-sighted.
Did you know that:
* Search Engines is the #1 method used to find local businesses and services?
* 86% Of the Americans surveyed use the Internet to find local businesses and services?
* 80% say that they research a product or service online, then make their purchases offline at a local business?
Me personally, do all my research online first. I research the product or service, compare prices, research local businesses that carry that product or service. If the product has a shipping fee, I try to find it locally first. There are things that you just need someone local, such as Plumbers, Electricians, Veterinarians, etc.
The Internet was indispensable when I moved across country and needed to find a Vet for my dog, and more importantly in those first days of the moving to my new place was a pizza shop that delivered. I even found my new apartment online and it was ready for me to move in when I arrived in San Antonio.
Think about the last time you shopped for a new car, or TV, or needed a repair done. What method did you use? Chances are you did some of your research online.
How Can I help You Get More Customers?
First, I only work with 1 or 2- 3 business owners in any one area of specialty, electricians for example, in any one town or city at a time. There are only 10 spots on a page in Google, and my clients often have multiple listings on a page.
We provide you with a site that is completely optimized so that it will show up on the first page of Google
